Information about WPB Enterprises:

WPB has been installing radon remediation systems for the last 20 years in predominately Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Doylestown, Quakertown, Stroudsburg, and surrounding areas of Northeastern PA.  Most of our radon mitigation systems are installed in residential homes in Upper Bucks County, Lehigh County and Northampton County of Pennsylvania.  WPB has also designed and installed radon mitigation systems in large commercial buildings and schools in New Jersey and PA and used sub-slab depressurization for soil vapor intrusion mitigation.  Call for additional information or for estimates on any size project.

Certified

It is a PA DEP requirement that a certified individual must visit your house and design the radon system before the system can be installed.  WPB is an accredited radon company. Every WPB radon job is personally supervised by either Bill Brodhead (PA DEP cert# 0736 & NEHA #100044) or Mark Dilts  (PA DEP cert# 2159).  The PA DEP badge shown below is what a certified individual wears.  You have a right to ask to see an individuals badge.

 
 

WPB is Certified by PA DEP, #584 for radon mitigation and E-Perms.  Bill is chair of the American Association of Radon Scientists  &  Technologists (AARST) National Radon Mitigation Standards Committee. We are a Better Business Bureau member.

 

   Experienced

Bill Brodhead, president of WPB Enterprises is well respected radon specialist and an early pioneer and continuing innovator in the field.  WPB is actually the oldest mitigation company in the state of Pennsylvania.  We began indoor air quality testing in 1982.  In 1984, we successfully mitigated a home with the first sub-slab ventilation system installed in Pennsylvania.  Since that time, we've installed over 5000 mitigation systems in a wide variety of homes and commercial buildings.  In 989 WPB reduced the radon levels in a New Jersey home from over 3000 pCi/L to 2.2 pCi/L.  In 1995 WPB reduced a Reading, PA home from 1800 p/Ci/L to 3.0 pCi/L.  In 2004 WPB reduced a brand new home in Easton from 1400 pCi/L to 2.5 pCi/L.

         Knowledgeable

WPB built over 30 solar and super-insulated homes under the trade name of Buffalo Homes from 1969 to 1991.  WPB has been doing EPA sponsored radon research since 1986.  Bill presently helps develop and present EPA and PA DEP sponsored radon workshops for Rutgers Eastern Regional Radon Training Center.  Bill teaches a Continuing Education course for Realtors that is sponsored by PA DEP.  In 1994 WPB completed a 100 house study of mitigated houses for the NJ DEP and a study of test tampering for the PA DEP.  Bill has mitigated radon in Navy housing at bases in the US, Guam, Korea, and Okinawa.  In 2003 Bill developed a school radon mitigation course for NJ DEP.  In 2005 Bill wrote a new radon resistant school code for the NJ DEP.
